I am a server in a high end establishment, I love the feel and design for this wine key and it looks great for table side service. But the problem is unlike my other wine key this one squeaks with many corks while I’m twisting the corkscrew, it is unfortunate because I think it has to do with the material of the coating on the corkscrew.

LOVE THIS OPENER! It has two lengths for the bottle ledge, but one is practically invisible, so hidden and sleek. I don’t have stuck up customers watching me waiting to correct me because this opener is so easy to use, has amazing grip all over and my favorite part is the first hidden tooth slides out so smoothly, so quickly, no one has time to say, “Are you SURE you’ve screwed in enough?” Because I’m already removing the cork from my tool and presenting the bottle to wannabe Sommeliers biting their pretentious tongues. Such a great opener.

I open every bottle along the guidelines set by the Court Of Master Sommeliers, and the key does its job wonderfully. The point is sharp enough to cut the foil in two motions. Sturdy and stylish but with flaws
This is a nice wine key that looks good and feels good in the hand. It has a nice heft, feels sturdy, and is stylish.The good: It's great for pulling corks. The spring loaded dual hinge action feels really nice and responsive and fits every bottle I've tried it on well--it's kind of a knock off of the Coutale corkscrew hinge. I like the black metal a lot. It's stylish and fits all sorts of service environments. It looks both a little classy and a little edgy, like I could use it for all but the fanciest of fine dining and get away with it at a dive bar too. The worm (I don't think it's teflon coated or anything fancy) is a good length and smoothly cuts through most corks.The bad: if you're a professional bartender or server this has a few problems that most people won't mind. The knife is kind of a pain to use. It's sharp and reasonably serviceable but comes out a bit of a weird angle for me and means I usually have to use an extra hand (I don't like that.) The worst failing is the bottle opener. I think that here they've sacrificed function for style. The little tiny bottle opener is a bit of a pain to catch under about half the bottles I open. This makes it pretty hard to open bottles one handed behind the bar without looking at what you're doing because you do have to get the thing lined up "just so" something I've never had to do with a bottle opener even the tiniest bit bigger.All in all, I like this wine key. It's stood up to several months of use at work table side and behind the bar and is cheaper than many inferior products. I recommend it for servers or bar tenders who serve more wine than beer (because of the faulty bottle opener) if they appreciate having a stylish corkscrew and relatively ergonomic corkscrew.

Great for table side wine service
I am a server at a country club and I have to open wine bottles table side many times a day, I have 2 of these and they are great for the price, I like the serrated knife, it cuts better than some of my other wine keys. The only problem I have is the cork screw squeaks with a lot of corks but aside from that it’s a solid wine key!

Feels sturdy, but not perfect
This corkscrew does have a sturdy feel and all of the moving parts work well. But I have to say that the screw portion itself does not go into corks easily. Especially those made of cork.It's quite hard to get the screw started into the cork. Once it's in, everything works fine. My only complaint.

I've used waiter's corkscrew type wine openers for many, manny years and have many of the 'other' designs some costing considerable more in my basement. I just prefer this style. Having used Pulltap and Rabbit brands before which were fine I thought I'd try this one which worked out fine. Very well made, teflon screw, etc. What caused me to not give it a five was the slight difficulty of getting the screw started in the cork. I'm not sure but might be from a slightly thicker point at end of coil. I'll continue to use maybe it's me just getting use to it.

I work as a bartender at a high capacity restaurant and this wine key is clutch! Every aspect of it I love: the rubber grip is nice when your hands are wet and moving fast, the blade is long and sharp enough to glide through the foil with ease but not too sharp to be a danger to yourself, the corkscrew easily twists through any cork, the double bootlever makes for an easy cork extraction, and lastly the price is more than fair. If you’re a professional bartender this wine key is your friend.

Good:-Relatively low-cost-Works pretty well-Nice solid 'feel'. Kind of has that size and weight that makes it feel like you're holding something.Bad:-The 'blade' isn't particularly sharp. It'll cut the foil, but you might have to go over it a couple times.-Corkscrew part was kind of wobbly. It kind of moves laterally so it doesn't seem to be a complete flush connection. Regardless, opened over 100 bottles with it and no issues, so I guess it is insignificant. Just "feels/looks" weird is all.Overall - It's good. I'd be willing to buy another one.

I hate to leave not great reviews but professional bartenders should shop elsewhere.I work in a wine bar and my $3 wine keys works better than this one overall. The issue is the knife and bottle opener portion. The knife is dull and does not easily cut open your wine bottle. I had my chef sharpen it and it still does not cut properly.If you open alot of beer bottles this will slow you down, it's not easy to pop off. The actual opener is good and sturdy but when I can't cut open the lid of the wine in front of my guests it makes me look unprofessional.Definitely good for home use, I'm leaving this one at home and ordering another for work.

Easiest corkscrew of this type I have tried.
I have always found the "swimmer" type corkscrew or the Rabbit corkscrew to be easier to work when uncorking wine. I tried this model, and I now use it to open my wine bottles. The screw remains very sharp, so it penetrates the cork with little effort. The arm and the levers are positioned perfectly to easily remove the cork. It also looks very strong and I am hoping will last a long time. I am very impressed.
