Great decanter, use it at least once a week
I have some older wines that seemed to have lost a bit of their character.So I went on the hunt to find a way to bring out the flavor in my wines.I looked at a number of decanters and picked this one.It's great.The shape is super and works super well.It is easy to grip and pour.I was surprised how little of it is filled up by one full wine bottle.You could put a couple bottles in there!It is probably bigger than it needs to be, but it is a beautiful glass piece.It is easy to clean.I highly recommend it.

This is all you could ask for in a wine decanter. It looks great and is crystal clear. The thumb indentation in the bottom makes for an easy pour.It is stoutly built and will take the bumps and bangs of heavy use.

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my wife after reading dozens of other reviews. I was a bit worried about the thickness but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I'll measure with calipers and update soon but I'd say its around 1/4inch (6-7mm). It seems robust enough to sustain a short fall onto a softer hard surface like a wooden table. Despite being so thick, it is quite refined in its shape. As such and with the right light, it can be both a center piece or disappear on a full table. We don't drink much, but we do like to entertain and we have used it for both water and wine. It won't however turn the former into the latter. The stopper fits well and the whole thing is easy to wash with a soak and a simple bottle brush, though there may be a better tool for the job. In any case, the value here is as good as it is beautiful. Looking forward to a lifetime of use.

First, no decanter is going to be easy to clean. Get used to it. Rinse it out, pour the water out, get up the next morning and pour the water out again.There is really no easy way to clean or dry any decanter. Now for the good stuff. This is a big decanter. A standard 750ML bottles of wine will not fill it to the widest point of the decanter, two bottles would probably do it perfectly, but I haven't tried it yet with two bottles of wine. Maybe when thecovid crap is done, I'll have friend over to see. The glass is good and thick, which I think is a good thing.Seems to be very well made and with the punt, it's easy to handle with two hands. I've hit the rime with a couple of bottles and have not chipped it, but it is glass after all, so be careful. I'm very happy with it, and would buy it again.

Wine enthusiasts recommend decanting red wines in order to fully enjoy their character.I've tried several different carafe designs over the years and I find this decanter to stand out from the rest by far.The design really helps in fully "opening up" the wine and allowing it to breathe.I like that I can decant two bottles of wine on those occasions when I am entertaining multiple guests, but yet it is not too large to use every night when it's just wine for two.

Great present but we used it one time and it chipped in two places on the mouth. No idea how this happened but it was hand washed and placed gently to dry. No tipping or items hit it. Next thing we knew it was chipped.

Lid isn't very good
The decanter itself is great, large surface area to let the wine breath, stopper is slightly too large for the hole, pushing itself out of its sealed state. Would recommend getting a cork ball put an at least semi air tight seal on it.

TLDR: Great decanter. Buy it. Wash it thoroughly before use so you don't waste your wine.First, this is a great decanter. However, and I know it should go without saying, but it needs to be washed thoroughly first. I rinsed it with water with haste so that I could enjoy my wine. I poured my whole bottle of a nice Caymus Special and poured my glass after some aeration time was allowed. The wine was definitely aerated. It also had completely received the styrofoam-like flavor that the decanter had remained slightly scented of.

This decanter fits our wine uses perfectly. We entertain a lot and this decanter seems to hold up well to frequent uses on our granite countertops.I like the rubber stopper in case any wine doesn’t get used “that nightâ€. This is the best wine decanter I've ever seen.... all the advertising is spot on.... it works great... pours great.... and is easy to clean.I have some wines that definitely need to breathe.... like 2010 Syrah that need to really "breathe" before the balance comes out.One feature I really like is the indented bottom.... easy go grab & pour as well as adding another element to the aeration of the wine.It's also very good quality... heavier crystal... looks as great as it works.

This product came exactly as expected and is beautiful. Even though it is delicate glass, it is sturdy and was not broken upon arrival like the wine glasses I ordered at the same time. Definitely easier to clean while it's still wet inside from wine, I recommend not leaving wine in it for too long before cleaning. Hand washing is going to be the way to go here as well. Overall very satisfied with this gift.

It is a solid and hefty piece, while not being overly heavy both my wife and I could one hand pour with a whole bottle of wine in it. After searching for the perfect housewarming gift for a friend, I found this decanter at the recommendation of my roommate ( a wine lover and self-proclaimed sommelier). My friend is quite a fan of red wine so I thought this would really step her game up from the nightly [pinot] noir. My first assessment was the packaging which was very nice (tasteful) and very protective, oh, and did I mention it arrived IN A DAY!. The lifetime guarantee was a nice touch as well. The hardest part for me was sifting through the bountiful array of decanter options, but after a bit of research as well as reading some of the more thorough reviews, I decided on this one. The rubber stopper it came with seemed a little unnecessary to me but I can see how this might be useful for storage.Overall, I was very impressed with this decanter and happy with the purchase. I know my friend loves it too! I will definitely be checking out some other products Vintorio offers with the holiday season fast approaching and my big Italian family popping bottles like it's their job!

Lovely decanter!
I'm quite happy with so far. It somehow manages to be light enough to pour from easily while the glass is still thick and feels solid enough to survive a fall if you've had one too many. Its shape makes your wine swirl around a lot as you're pouring it in or out so it gets plenty of aeration. I also appreciate the clarity of glass which lets you really the color of your wine.

My last decanter chipped at the top, so it was time to replace it. So glad that I found the Vintorio Citadel decanter (and with the holidays coming up! Lots of dinner parties!) It was thicker glass than I expected which actually pleasantly surprised me. Definitely not as fearful that this will chip or break with long-term use. It's also beautifully designed, and my friends were all impressed by the craftsmanship. As for usage, it did a great job aerating wine. The box that it came in was also sleek, and it felt like a nice gift to myself.

Heavy Duty Decanter!!
This is a heavy duty decanter! The glass is thicker than most I’ve seen. It feels durable and looks great. The benefit to having a flat top is that you can pour from any angle. Many decanters have an angled top which mean you can only poor from one direction. The rubber stopper for the top is heavy duty as well and makes keeping the decanter clean very easy.
